Whether you're looking to expand your sewing skills or simply want to create something special for the holiday season, this two part workshop is a wonderful opportunity to learn new techniques while making a cozy quilt you'll be proud to show off.
Throughout the workshop, you'll work alongside our instructor as we guide you through the unique construction of a rag quilt, from piecing your fabrics together to creating the signature soft, frayed edges that make these quilts so special.
And the best part? You'll leave with a handmade Grinch rag quilt that's perfect for holiday decorating, gifting, or snuggling up with during the Christmas season!
During this hands-on workshop, you'll explore several sewing and quilting techniques, including:
½-inch seam allowances: Learn to sew accurate, consistent seams.
Fabric piecing: Arrange and assemble your fabric squares to create your quilt.
Unique rag quilt construction: Discover how rag quilts are assembled differently from traditional quilts.
Signature "X" stitching: Learn the decorative and functional stitching technique used in each quilt square.
Exposed seams and controlled fraying: Master the finishing techniques that give rag quilts their signature textured appearance.
Monday Track
November 9 & 16, 2026
1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Students must attend both dates within their selected track to complete the workshop.
Cost: $225 per student
Includes: All materials needed to complete your Grinch rag quilt, along with hands on instruction.
Duration: Two 5-hour sessions (10 hours total)
