As summer comes to a close, many parents are looking for one last meaningful activity before backpacks, homework, and busy schedules return.
At OCP Creations, we believe some of the best memories are made by learning something new and creating with your own hands. Our Kids Sewing Camp: Hair Scrunchie Workshop offers young makers the opportunity to learn the basics of sewing in a welcoming, encouraging environment while creating something they'll be proud to wear.
Designed for young makers ages 12 and up, this beginner-friendly workshop introduces the fundamentals of using a sewing machine through a fun, hands on project. No previous sewing experience is required. Our instructors will guide participants through each step of the process.
Each young maker will choose from a variety of colorful fabrics and create two handmade hair scrunchies to take home. Since everyone selects their own fabrics, every finished project is as unique as the person who made it.
Whether your young maker has always wanted to learn to sew or simply enjoys creating, this workshop is a wonderful way to end the summer by building confidence, learning a practical skill, and discovering the satisfaction of making something by hand.

What Young Makers Will Learn

Basic sewing machine operation
How to sew simple straight seams
How to complete a beginner-friendly sewing project
Foundational sewing skills they can continue building at home
